In following with the chains going around blogs and Facebook recently, I thought I’d share my own personal list of 25 random things about me:
My “happy place” has been the beach, dunes and sandbars of Sandy Neck (Barnstable, MA) my entire life. If you’re on tippy-toes in the winter (when the trees are bare) you...

What do you do on Cape Cod in the winter?
A question I’ve been asked my whole life. It’s right up there with “where’s your other home?”
This photo is of Gary during a game of pond-hockey… on a cranberry bog. That, my friends, is top of the list for what we do here in winter.

It’s sunny January Saturdays like this when it’s great to be a dog on Cape Cod! I posted about our favorite dog spots over at Cold Nose Photo. Now that Brewer’s back in full-effect after heartworm treatment, we’ve been running the boys ragged and smiling at their renewed exhaustion.

We had the pleasure of celebrating my parents’ dog Rigley’s birthday last weekend – dog birthdays are the best kind of birthdays!

Apparently, along with all the clothing and accessories trends (damn, all those things you wish your mom and grandmother had kept around!), bangs have a 20-year trend cycle. Unfortunately for bangs, I think many women my age last experienced the bang trend when we were around middle-school age – and that’s never a good place...

Just chillin’ at home on a Saturday night. Anyone who has started following us online (via blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) in recent months might accidentally think we’re balanced, well-rested, peaceful home-body types. You might think we accomplish our home improvement tasks in a timely manner, and linger gracefully at cafes and yoga studios.
Well you thought...

We had some friends over for New Years Eve this year, which turned out to be the best option once a big snowstorm was brought into play (yay, snow!). Managed to pull off a major potluck meal of appetizers, dinner and dessert foods – and of course the bubbly!
I sometimes like to infuse vodka with...
